Stubborn Baby

Today was the ultrasound. The baby wouldn't work with us, so we don't know what we are having. The baby held tight with it's legs as well as had the cord between them too. Hopefully, we'll get another ultrasound done to find out. Possibly in 4 - 6 weeks. What a bummer!! I was hoping we'd find out, so I could shop for some good deals.

Todd is adjusting to family life. He is working on "projects". What a great husband!! I finally have a sprinkler system that works. Yeah!! Now, I wish that I could clone him and get all the other stuff fixed/repaired, etc. Also, does anyone know how to find a "never ending" source of money?? Unfortunatly, it takes money to do most of this stuff. Someday....

Bike Ride and Farmer's Market

Today we went for a bike ride to downtown for the farmer's market. It is a lot of fun to go there. We bought things spontaneously though. I get "suckered" in on stuff. Todd goes for fresh bread. Skyler played in the water fountains and got in on some art projects. I was grateful to go riding on our bikes. We didn't take our tandum bike today. Todd pulled the trailer behind his bike, so that lightened my load. I think we rode 15 or 20 miles in all. It feels great to get out and enjoy the summer especially with Todd. Skyler and I would go biking ourselves, but it's more fun with daddy.

Todd's Home!!

Well, Todd finally arrived yesterday. He was a day later than they first said he'd be getting back....gotta love the military! He is happy to be home and came back bearing gifts. Who is this guy?! He brought back a star garnett necklace, earings and ring. He also got me a Northface windbreaker and a beautiful blanket. I'm impressed! I think he is glad to be back. Skyler definatly doesn't want to let him out of her sight. He wanted a nap which was interupted several times. WE are both excited to have him home. I don't know about him being glad to be home (honey-do's). He is in-processing today, then we need to figure out what we'll be doing this lovely weekend. Only 3 more days to go, and we find out what we are having in December.....

Todd's coming home

Well, it's been a long time since my last post. I had my big "5" year anniversary on July 23. Todd sent me a dozen red roses along with some callalillies. It was a gorgeous arrangement, plus he actually gave me a gift. I hope to encourage that :) I like being a "princess" and getting a gift. Todd comes home late Wednesday (as far as we know). Skyler and I can hardly wait. I have deep cleaned the house and feel it all over in my body. It took 2 full days.

I am loving the pregnancy. The baby moves a lot and I relish in all of it. I know this will be my last one, so I am enjoying as well as taking in everything. Skyler is going through all her toys and naming which ones are for the baby. She has wrapped a present and made a card for the baby already.

Well, lets see how long it takes me to make the next entry...

Crowning for Me - Not Exacly the Kind I Like

Today is another lovely day in Boise. Ok, semi-lovely, I received my first crown on a tooth. It's been a bugger. I do hope I don't have to ever go through the process again. When they got it back the first time, it broke when they were putting it on, so I had to do the whole process again including impressions. Plus the numbing agent didn't keep me numb the whole time. AHHHH!! I know what it's like now to not like a dentist. I never had a cavity until I was 21, so I loved the dentist. I have been working hard at sorting clothes for Ms. Skyler. I also have a closet full of clothes all New w/tags that she never wore, since she had so many. If we have a girl baby, we'll be set. As for a boy, we'll have to start from scratch. I'll find out in about a month and a half....

Our First Christmas with Skyler 2004

Wow! I went for some archival stuff. I figured we'd find the first family pic of Skyler's Christmas. It wasn't taken on Christmas day, but close enough. Hey check out Todd - he actually had some brown hair. Skyler wasn't too happy there. Notice her nose is orange - it was from all the "orange" baby food she ate. It literally turned her nose orange from the inside out.
